The fragrance notes consist of sea notes, sea salt, seaweed, agarwood, pink pepper, styrax, ambergris, balsam fir, and pepperwood. Shyamala Maisondeau of Givaudan is the nose that created this scent. Tom Ford launched his brand in 2005, offering fashions, eyewear, accessories, cosmetics, and fragrances.
The latter two are developed in conjunction with Estee Lauder. Ford has had an extensive career in fashion before founding his own company. As an architecture student at Parsons School of Design in New York, Ford concealed his background and secured an internship with Chloe.
He later gained positions with Cathy Hardwick and Perry Ellis before landing at Gucci in 1990, where he became creative director and remained until 2004.
