L'eau D'issey (Issey Miyake) is a crisp, woodyaquatic fragrance created by Jacques Cavallier in 1994. It remains popular, especially as a summer scent. The fragrance opens with top notes of yuzu, mandarin, lemon verbena, bergamot, sage, tarragon, calone, cypress, and coriander.
The heart is rich and spicy with middle notes of nutmeg, saffron, Ceylon cinnamon, blue lotus, mignonette, and geranium. The base notes of tobacco, cedarwood, musk, Tahitian vetiver, sandalwood, and amber lead to an intensely woody, dry finish of the fragrance. This is a longlasting scent with a strong sillage.
